Description

Tender rib steak slow-cooked with bell peppers for a flavorful, easy meal.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs rib steak, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sear the steak slices until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until softened.
  3. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, black pepper, ginger, and beef broth in a bowl.
  4. Combine steak, vegetables, and sauce in the slow cooker.
  5. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until steak is tender.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add chili flakes.
  • Thicken sauce with more cornstarch if needed.
  • Use flank steak as an alternative.
