Description
A delicious fusion of smash burger and taco, served with crispy sweet potato fries for a unique twist on classic flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 2 large sweet potatoes (cut into fries)
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into loose balls.
- Place a ball in the skillet and press flat with a spatula to create a smash burger. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and crispy. Repeat for all patties.
- Mix mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup in a small bowl to make the sauce.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet for 20 seconds per side.
- Assemble tacos: place a smash burger on each tortilla, top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sauce.
- Serve immediately with sweet potato fries.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef if you prefer less grease.
- Substitute flour tortillas with corn tortillas for a gluten-free option.
- Adjust spice levels in the sweet potato fries to your taste.
