- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp pickled jalapeños (optional)
- 2 tbsp sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
- Place a tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle half with cheese, beef, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños.
- Fold the tortilla in half and press down with a spatula.
- Cook for 2 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Slice into wedges and serve with sour cream if desired.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for less grease.
- Add other toppings like lettuce or avocado if preferred.
- For extra crispiness, cook quesadillas in butter.
