This smoky grilled Caesar salad adds a delicious twist to the classic with charred romaine and crispy Parmesan chips.


Ingredients

  • 2 heads of romaine lettuce, halved lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, form small circles of the Parmesan mixture and bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool to harden.
  4. Place the halved romaine on the grill, cut side down, and grill for 2-3 minutes until slightly charred.
  5. Remove the romaine from the grill and drizzle with Caesar dressing.
  6. Top with the Parmesan crisps and garnish with fresh parsley.
  7. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the romaine in Caesar dressing for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • You can also add grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
