Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup soft caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture.
  5. Fold in diced apples.
  6. Pour half the batter into the pan. Drizzle caramel sauce over it, then top with remaining batter.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool before serving.
