Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
- Drop small spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll warm donut holes in melted butter, then coat in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a cookie scoop for even-sized donut holes.
- Do not overcrowd the fryer to ensure even cooking.
- For a lighter version, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes.
