Ingredients

  • 1 cup active sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sourdough starter, milk, and sugar.
  2. Add the softened butter, egg, and salt, then stir until combined.
  3. Gradually add the flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
  8. Add raisins if desired.
  9. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  10. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another hour.
  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  12. Allow to cool before glazing.
