These sourdough starter cinnamon rolls are soft, fluffy, and packed with cinnamon flavor.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add sourdough starter, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter on the dough.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the butter.
- Add raisins if desired.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another hour.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a sweeter roll, increase the sugar.
- Allow the rolls to cool before icing if desired.
