- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 1 hour.
- Mix flour, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Coat chicken in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for 3-4 minutes until gravy thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat with gravy.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust cayenne pepper for more or less heat.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
