Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 1 hour.
  2. Mix flour, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Coat chicken in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side.
  5. Remove chicken and set aside.
  6. Add chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and cook for 3-4 minutes until gravy thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with gravy.
  9. Serve hot.

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F.
