- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes and vodka. Simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the sauce, stirring to coat the pasta evenly.
- Remove from heat and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
