Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Green food coloring
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  7. Stir in milk and a few drops of green food coloring.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool and top with whipped cream before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of food coloring for desired shade.
  • Serve with additional green toppings for decoration.
