Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Green food coloring
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Stir in green food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Pour batter into a greased pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Notes
- Use more or less food coloring for intensity.
- Make sure to let the cake cool completely before decorating.
- Can substitute butter with a vegan alternative for a vegan option.
