Ingredients

- 2 beef filet mignon steaks (6–8 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup brandy or cognac
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms and garlic until soft.
- Add brandy and let it simmer for 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until slightly thickened.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
