Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and crispy, about 5-6 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then add to the pan. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of gochujang for more or less heat.
  • For extra crispiness, coat the chicken in cornstarch before frying.
  • Serve with steamed rice or as an appetizer.
