Description
A classic dessert made with layers of strawberries, whipped cream, and soft cake.

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until light. Add vanilla and mix.
- Gradually add flour mixture and milk. Mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool, then slice it in half horizontally.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Layer strawberries and whipped cream between the cake halves.
- Top with remaining strawberries and whipped cream.
Notes
- For best flavor, use fresh strawberries.
- You can use store-bought whipped cream if preferred.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
