- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1/4 cup milk (for frosting)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients.
- Roll dough into balls and flatten slightly on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool completely before frosting.
- For frosting, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
- Spread frosting over cooled cookies.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Use parchment paper to prevent sticking.
