Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup jam of your choice (strawberry, raspberry, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and melted butter.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut out circles using a cookie cutter or glass, about 3 inches in diameter.
- Place a teaspoon of jam in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the jam and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water.
- Cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the dumplings float to the top.
- Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and let drain on a paper towel.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar or with extra jam on the side.
Notes
- You can use any type of jam you prefer.
- Ensure the edges of the dumplings are sealed well to prevent the jam from leaking during cooking.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
