Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 500ml beef stock
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, half the chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Shape into meatballs, about 2cm in diameter.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté the remaining onion until soft.
  5. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually add beef stock and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until smooth.
  7. Return meatballs to the pan and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
