- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
- While the chicken is cooking, steam the broccoli until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- To serve, place cooked rice in bowls, top with sliced chicken, steamed broccoli, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a drizzle of additional teriyaki sauce over the finished bowls.
- You can substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
