Description
A flavorful stir-fry dish made with ground chicken, fresh Thai basil, and served over fragrant jasmine rice.

- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2–3 Thai bird chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 3 cups cooked jasmine rice
- Sliced cucumber and lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sliced chilies, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until well combined.
- Add the fresh Thai basil leaves and stir until wilted.
- Serve the Thai basil chicken over cooked jasmine rice, garnished with sliced cucumber and lime wedges.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of chilies based on your spice preference.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of lime juice before serving.
