Classic Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies that are soft and chewy.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour and baking soda, set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
