Description

A flavorful tomahawk steak seasoned with rosemary and cooked to perfection. Ideal for special occasions or a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tomahawk steak (about 2 inches thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
  2. Preheat your grill or pan to high heat.
  3. Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for a good crust.
  5. Add rosemary, garlic, and butter to the pan or grill, basting the steak as it cooks.
  6. Reduce heat or move to indirect heat and cook until desired doneness (about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare).
  7. Rest the steak for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for accuracy: 52°C (125°F) for rare, 57°C (135°F) for medium-rare, 63°C (145°F) for medium.
  • Letting the steak rest ensures juiciness.
