  • 100g chopped nuts
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp brandy

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. Grease and line a cake tin with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the dried fruits and nuts.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  6. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and spices.
  7. Fold in the fruit and nut mixture.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared tin.
  9. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours or until a skewer comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool before serving.
