- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 head of butter or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in diced bell pepper and mushrooms, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until veggies are tender.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Pour over turkey mixture and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Spoon turkey mixture into lettuce leaves, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
