Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Red sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before frosting.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk for frosting, then spread over cooled cake.
  11. Top with red sprinkles.
