Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • Red food coloring
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and sugar.
  3. Add butter and mix until smooth.
  4. Incorporate eggs one at a time.
  5. Add milk and vanilla extract, mix well.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let the cake cool completely.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and cocoa powder with a little water for frosting.
  10. Color half of the frosting red.
  11. Frost the cake with white frosting and decorate with red frosting and sprinkles.

Notes

  • Use unsalted butter for better flavor.
  • Make sure the cake is completely cool before frosting.
  • You can add more food coloring for a brighter red.
