Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add flour, sugar, butter, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix until smooth.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter on the dough.
  8. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  10. Place slices in a greased baking dish.
  11. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Mix powdered sugar and vanilla for icing and drizzle over rolls.
