- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- Red food coloring
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add oil, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into cupcake liners.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool.
- For frosting, beat butter until creamy.
- Add powdered sugar and milk. Mix until smooth.
- Mix in red food coloring.
- Frost cooled cupcakes and add sprinkles.
Notes
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container.
- Frost just before serving for best results.
- Use different colors for frosting if desired.
