  • 4 cups beef broth

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and water, bring to a boil.
  4. Add the carrots, celery, potatoes, tomatoes, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours or until the beef is tender.
  6. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
