Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.
- Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron with non-stick spray or brush with melted butter.
- Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the hot waffle iron, close the lid, and cook until golden brown (time may vary based on your waffle iron).
- Carefully remove the waffle and serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For extra crispy waffles, let the batter rest for about 5 minutes before cooking.
- Feel free to add chocolate chips, blueberries, or nuts to the batter for added flavor.
