Description
A refreshing and fruity watermelon sorbet made effortlessly in an ice cream maker, perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups of seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup water
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, combine the frozen watermelon cubes, sugar, lime juice, water, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more water, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.
- Once the sorbet reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer it to an airtight container.
- Freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter sorbet, adjust the sugar to your taste.
- Make sure the watermelon is fully frozen for the best texture.
- You can add fresh mint for an extra refreshing flavor.
