Description

This dish features succulent chicken legs marinated in a fragrant blend of za’atar, a Middle Eastern spice mix, and roasted to perfection for a savory and aromatic meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken legs (thigh and drumstick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons za’atar spice mix
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, za’atar, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken legs in a large bowl or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken legs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a crispy skin. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
