Crispy chicken cutlets made in an air fryer for a healthier twist on a classic dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thin cutlets.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the egg with water.
  5. Dip each chicken cutlet into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Place the coated cutlets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, lightly spraying with olive oil.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Check internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, spray the breaded cutlets lightly with oil before air frying.
  • Adjust cooking time based on thickness of the cutlets.
