Description
A sweet, traditional bread often enjoyed during Easter celebrations.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast in it.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla to the flour mixture.
- Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or braid.
- Let it rise again for 30 minutes on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Can add colored eggs for decoration.
- Store in an airtight container for freshness.
- Best served warm or toasted.
