Ingredients

- 2 filet mignon steaks (6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Add butter and garlic to the skillet.
- Baste the steaks with the melted butter for another 2 minutes.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Let the steaks come to room temperature before cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer for desired doneness.
- Pair with vegetables or a salad for a complete meal.
