Description

Classic old fashioned fudge made with simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk, and cocoa powder.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
  5. Beat until the mixture thickens and loses its gloss.
  6. Add nuts if desired and spread into a greased pan.
  7. Let cool before cutting into squares.

  • Can be made without nuts for a nut-free version.
