Description

Delicious St. Patrick’s Day marshmallows for festive treats.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon green food coloring
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3 egg whites
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.
  3. In a bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  4. Slowly add the hot sugar mixture to the egg whites while beating.
  5. Continue beating until thick and fluffy.
  6. Add vanilla extract and green food coloring, then mix well.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased pan and spread evenly.
  8. Let it sit for at least 4 hours to set.
  9. Once set, dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
